OUR VISION
A wind of change and a shift in sensibility is being welcomed and celebrated by the youth, more so in the southern part of the country. Be it the new wave movies, the new genre of desi hip hop music, experimental literature, gender discussions, climate consciousness, or social awareness, the change is perceivable in all walks of our lives. This fascinating era of change provides the point of departure for myKYND which is conceived and envisioned as an indie slow fashion brand. It is also an ode to the diversity of our craft traditions and a way to reimagine and redefine the richness and elegance of our clothing heritage.
Though the Mundu, (Dhotis) has been a part of our clothing traditions for centuries, it was seldom treated with the dignity it deserves. Considered as a traditional attire for formal occasions or a casual home wear, Mundu was neither considered an option for meaningful fashion choices nor was it professionally designed to suit modern dressing habits. myKYND aims to celebrate the spirit of Mundu by making it a desirable, and sustainable fashion attire for all genders. Each of our hand-woven, hand-crafted and locally produced garments is thoughtfully designed, myndfully crafted and tastefully curated to provide an exclusive experience for the discerning souls.
The brand and its values are firmly rooted in our ethos and we are committed to contributing towards happy work communities through ethical labour practices and meaningful collaboration with artisans and artists. We aim to work closely with weavers and craft clusters while staying deeply connected with our core values that resonate with our shared vision of KYND and responsible living.
